Interlude: The Tiny Blue Dot

45 years ago, a single photo changed humanity's view of itself.

Taken by the astronauts of Apollo 8 in orbit around the moon,

the photo shows a tiny blue dot—an oasis—in the vastness of space.

That fragile blue oasis is called Earth.

This is the story of that amazing photo, taken almost by chance.
