One of the most rewarding experiences I've had with writing this blog, is having the opportunity to meet some of you.

In early 2013, Justin L. won a contest on our Cap'n Aux Facebook page (www.facebook.com/CapnAux).  Coincidentally, he lived in town, so I was able to "do lunch" with him and his wonderful and supportive parents, Patrick and Rhonda!

Justin is working on his Private Pilot license as we speak!

Good luck with your PPL, Justin!

Just this week, while on an overnight in FLL, I was able to meet up with Mark L., an avid lifelong Plane Spotter, amateur photographer and fellow blogger.

Mark Lawrence of Amateur Aviation Photography (http://amateuravphoto.blogspot.com/)
Hey, that logo at the bottom looks familiar!
Mark Lawrence runs a great photo blog over at http://amateuravphoto.blogspot.com/

Mark meets me for a pint under the approach end of 9L, FLL.
Poking his head out behind us: my long time buddy, Lear 35 Cap'n John! (No small animals or FAA regulations were violated during this meeting!)

Miss TWA, over at MissTWA.blogspot.com, even tracked my flight inbound to commemorate our historic get-together!

Passin' by ya, Miss T!
Hey, did that look like FLL we just passed?  'Cause it looks mighty wet ahead!
